Remove Location Data Before Posting on Social Media
Check for GPS with the EXIF viewer, then strip metadata before Instagram, Facebook, or forums.
Social apps are inconsistent
Some networks strip EXIF on their CDN copies; others keep more than you expect on originals sent by email or uploaded to forums. Local removal is the reliable habit.
A simple habit
View → if GPS exists → Remove → upload only the cleaned file. Teach the same habit for family members who post kids’ photos.
